A sitemap is a special page on a web site that contains a tree-like representation of the link structure of the site.This helps robots to ndex your site with ease.
Go to Google Sitemaps site at https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/siteoverview?hl=en
Type youe URL in Add Site box and click OK.
Your site will appear as listed. Click Add Sitemap.
In drop-down box which appears choose 'Add general web site map'.
Add your XML feed URL as in http://myblog.blogspot.com/atom.xml in 'Sitemap URL' box
Click Add Websitemap.
Then Click 'My Sites' on same page and click 'Verify' in front of your site URL.
It will give you options of how to verify your site which are adding a meta tag to your blog template or uploading a HTML file to your server and I prefer adding a meta tag as it is much easier and once the verification process is complete you can remove it.
