Wananchi online launches new broadband internet and cable TV service.

I am very excited about this as this service is going to be the cheapest compared to all other ISPs and PayTV providers that are there.According to Wananchi Online they have already started setting up base stations in Nairobi and Mombasa and so the service is expected to be rolled out officially very soon.

Some of their broadband internet packages include an unlimited 256kbps connection for as low as kshs.2999 per month which is currently their cheapest package at the moment but it is also the cheapest package in the country,they will also be offering cable TV packages in English and Hindi for as low as KShs. 1,160 per month.Some of the areas covered in Nairobi include;
-City center
-Ngong road
-Yaya area
-Westlands
-Parklands
-Kileleshwa
-Industrial area
For more details you can check out their website:Zuku.

  2. I used to use Africaonline, before we maid the decision to make the transfer to Zuku. Sure it looked tempting at only 2,999 Kshs, and with and internet connect link of 256Kbps! But to our suprise, having being notified that they would install the equipment 4 day's later after collecting the monies paid, we were kept waiting over 2 WEEKS WITHOUT AN INTERNET CONNECTION! And despite us having to wait, it was not until another week later did I get an internet connection.
    I would think that they have to improve their customer relations service, efficiency, with the person who head's the whole opperation taking this into considertion seriosly. Up till now I am not satisfied with their services and I am considering DISCONECTION!

  3. Thanks for the heads up anonymous,many people are saying negative things about Zuku and so my confidence in it is steadily dropping but the issue about there customer service is something even I have experienced as I recently called there customer care center to inquire if Zuku was available where I live and the lady kept me on hold for so long that I eventually just gave up.
